Operational Progress, Technical Work and Planning for What Comes Next

Alba’s latest update reflects steady progress on the ground and behind the scenes across its core projects.

  • At Clogau, Blast 7 has now taken the new Level 5 development to 9.8 metres, with 54 bulk bags from the previous blast also recovered to surface. That means Alba is now around halfway through its current 20 metre development objective at its priority gold target.

  • At Motzfeldt, first-stage test work at the Aries Deposit has confirmed an important point: the minerals hosting the project’s rare earths, niobium, tantalum and zirconium are all associated with established extractive industries globally. The next phase of test work, looking at separation techniques, is already under way.

  • PDAC also helped move key workstreams forward for Motzfeldt, with meetings covering Mineral Resource review, environmental and gap-analysis support, hyperspectral survey planning, logistics for the summer programme, and dialogue with Greenlandic stakeholders and local authorities.

The team’s meetings during the week included discussions with Kujalleq Municipality, representatives of the Government of Greenland, technical advisers linked to the planned 2026 work programme, and specialist groups looking at ecology, infrastructure and survey design. These are the practical building blocks that support disciplined project advancement.

It was a useful week: tangible progress at Clogau, and practical technical and stakeholder work around Motzfeldt as planning continues for 2026.
